France, present day. Amid ongoing fears of a ter-rorist attack, a viral strain leaks from a laboratory. The whole population is contaminated by the virus. As a precaution, the government distributes a mass antidote, which appears at first to be completely inno-cuous. But then the people who took this treatment transform into raging, cannibalistic creatures. Within a few days the pandemic sweeps the entire country, and soon the continent. As the state struggles to contain the growing panic, a train approaches a big city. On board, five people from different backgrounds are still far from suspec-ting that they will spend the rest of their new lives together.A few months later, after society has collapsed, these five manage to organize themselves and survive in an abandoned town where all the rules have changed. Barricaded in an apartment, they watch the infected cannibals grow weaker and disappear. After a few months of this, they finally decide to leave the city for an island that would have been untouched by the treatment. But other dangers threaten our survivors. They have hosted the virus since the beginning, and only now do they discover the real and singular effects of it: the burdens of immortality. On top of this, they will confront other survivors - some organized in packs, others acting in the shadows. As they go in search of themselves, these five will find the strength to survive and fulfill the aspirations that their history and society had not allowed them to reach. (Nashville Film Festival)
