anglais I’m surprised that the movie that got a five-star rating from me is from Tunisia. I actually don’t know whether this was the first Tunisian movie I’d ever seen. The theme is very topical and it throws a reflection of darkness on Tunisia as such. But if the viewer is intelligent, it has to be clear to them that this isn’t only about Tunisia and that it’s rather about North Africa as a whole. The theme is more than topical. At the beginning, I liked that young people in Tunisia looked like young people in the West, but then I was reduced to silence with the pivotal moment of the entire story – the rape. After that I couldn’t but wonder wordlessly about any state authorities. Sometimes I feel that in those countries there is no way for you to get justice. And if you are a woman, the situation is even worse. ()
