At the age of 62, novelist Monte Schulz (son of famed cartoonist Charles Schulz), began recording songs he'd quietly been writing since his 20s. Three years later, as "Seraphonium," he had engaged over 70 musicians and emerged with his audacious debut album. A one-time-only performance, featuring over 40 musicians, was held at Santa Barbara's Marjorie Luke Theater. This beautifully rendered film documents the moving performance of Schulz's fascinatingly diverse catalog of songs. (Santa Barbara International Film Festival)
