A psychological and existential study of a convict guarding an isolated lighthouse. If he endures for two years, he will be pardoned the rest of his sentence for a killing in a pub brawl. Nobody before him has managed to overcome the burdensome loneliness. One day, a rat is brought by the sea. The sea and the island, a man and a rat, friendship and vengeance ...
