HOLDOUT is a World War II film loosely based on the true story of Hiro Onoda, the last ever Japanese Holdout who kept on fighting after the war and only surrendered in 1975. Our story follows a Japanese soldier in a similar predicament and the conflict that ensues when he encounters an American backpacker who steps on a landmine set by him.
