"The Other" is a mind-playing short film about jealousy, lust for revenge and a circle of fear which drives a man to make the crucial decision about his life. Henri is running away with a mysterious packet in his hands. He hides in an abandoned house in a distant location. With contradictory thoughts running through his mind Henri is on his way to go and meet his beloved girl, Mia. Earlier Mia has made a decision putting her own life at risk. Things become even more complicated when an uninvited guest enters the abandoned house. Soon it will be revealed that Henri's future will be decided these oncoming hours. But first he has to face his past, eye to eye. The story uses background research material gathered from the first crisis house in Finland which was intended for male perpetrators of domestic violence. The Crisis house operated less than a year before the shutdown in 2006. (Metropolia AMK)
