Little Azkals

This is a story about dreams. When the Philippine national football team, the Azkals, began a series of miraculous winnings in Asia, it also sparked dreams within its countrymen that they could possibly eye for the most coveted World Cup. Thus the Philippine Football Federation launched a search for the next team of Azkals that would undergo training for the 2019 World Cup qualifiers. More than 1000 boys from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao tried their luck, but only 22 have been selected. (Zlín Film Festival)
