The author of Setting West uses period printing materials from eminent letterpress studios and copies them directly to the 35 mm film stock. Typical fonts and symbols serve as references to western 'Cowboys and Indians' stereotypes. The visuals combined with the soundtrack create an extraordinary commentary on the classical film genre while simultaneously exploring the formative years of typography and printing. (Anifilm)
