The artistically distinct and original collage What They Believe was made by a Japanese director living in Germany. Her inventive film, mixing a European perspective with Asian elements that might seem extraordinary to Europeans, is composed of various situations and opens up a number of topics. But the scenes have a unifying main theme – the ambiguity of love and hope. (Anifilm)
