Emma Carré made Silence as her graduation film. Having previous experience working for the National Film Board of Canada and French television, she managed to metaphorically depict a gradual and merciless loss of hearing. At the same time, she raises the question of whether fighting one's fate makes any sense, rather than succumbing to it. (Anifilm)
