Wanted (2016)

anglais The Australians prepared a nice surprise for me again. I didn't have high expectations of the series, and it is basically just an undemanding, relaxing watch, but it also had a kind of depth to it. The story is quite simple, but thanks to the script and performances of both lead actresses, it wasn’t so much a crime drama as a story of true friendship. I'm going to miss Lola Catherine and Chelsea Bridget, I've gotten quite used to them over those eighteen episodes. ()

Season 1 (2016) (S01)

anglais After the first season, I'm very happy with the series. It’s not exactly aimed at a demanding audience. The fact that drama is listed as the only genre is a little misleading. There’s a bit of drama, a bit of action, a bit of crime, but, most importantly, the authors didn’t forget about humor. Both main characters are well written, they were well cast, and I really enjoyed Thelma & Louise Australian style. ()

Chelsea et Lola (2016) (S01E01)

anglais I simply had to give all five pieces for such an introduction to the first season and actually to the whole series. The plot worked well for the Australians, it seems that the characters of both main heroines will complement each other perfectly (or negate, depending on the situation), and even though there were traditional pitfalls that commonly occur in similar matters (no one takes away the weapon from the armed maniac after knocking him unconscious), it didn't ruin the mood for me. ()

Cours, Lola, cours ! (2016) (S01E02)

anglais The plot of the second episode seemed to me to be somewhat weaker, after the eventful first episode it was a more toned-down portion, but the dialogues between the main heroines work excellently for me. The professional refugees and Rain Woman often manage to make me laugh. 4 stars. ()

Eux et nous (2016) (S01E03)

anglais I can vividly imagine how a similar journey could be boring in another series or movie, but it didn't happen here. I simply enjoy those two, and when they enhance their dialogues with super humor, I can't help but laugh. Anyway, I'm pleased that each episode is not just a standalone unit, they all have supported the development of the whole story so far. ()

Retour aux sources (2016) (S01E04)

anglais Although the creators prepared one WTF? moment for me (a visit to a prison), I rated the episode with a full number of stars because I really enjoyed it. It only took the nice Delaney family and Boke, who finally got a replacement car, for that. I appreciate that humor was not missing this time either. ()

Détour (2016) (S01E05)

anglais From this type of series, I primarily expect to have fun. Artistic impression, the work of the whole crew, and similar matters are somewhat on the side if there is no eye-catching outrageousness. There was no such thing, and moreover, I found out that Australians participate in the Barooma Rally, and I had a great time. ()

Sans issue (2016) (S01E06)

anglais I would gladly rate the final episode with full firepower, but this time there were a bit too many naive moments for me. Nevertheless, I was quite satisfied with the outcome, once again I got an entertaining plot, the story unfolded at a decent pace, so it wasn't bad at all. ()

Season 2 (2017) (S02)

anglais I don’t rate the second season as high as the first one. I wasn’t very impressed by the opening and final episode, I didn’t like the overcrowded Thailand as much as the Australian bush in which you need to pack camping gear and three days’ worth of food before visiting the nearest neighbor. My impression was significantly improved by New Zealand, but the story didn’t go as smoothly as in the previous season. I'm looking forward to the third season anyway, just because I'm curious to see how the authors will pick up where they left off in the final episode. ()

Episode 1 (2017) (S02E01)

anglais The first episode of the second season disappointed me a little bit. The move to Thailand had its part in it, I definitely preferred the Australian setting. There was certainly no shortage of action, but there were a few too many naive moments for my taste this time. And besides, a sniper who can't shoot? Well, I don't know... ()

Episode 2 (2017) (S02E02)

anglais In this case, I was still somewhat happier. New Zealand is much more pleasant to me than overcrowded Thailand, even though there were fewer action scenes, the humor returned (passing through customs was great), and the story apparently got a new impulse (at least it seemed so). ()

Episode 3 (2017) (S02E03)

anglais Both previous episodes had their own positives and in the third installment, I felt as if these positives merged together. The great setting where a lot of action takes place, all of which is enhanced by good humor. For the first time, I had the same good feeling as when watching the first season. ()

Episode 4 (2017) (S02E04)

anglais I could easily rate the fourth episode even better if it wasn't for David's storyline. I can't help it, but that person constantly has an annoyingly hurt expression, as if they had a difficult childhood, or were shot, or were a gambler. This character, in any case, slowed down the pace of the story and sparked a desire in me to shorten their suffering. 4* ()

Episode 5 (2017) (S02E05)

anglais This time I pushed a little harder in the evaluation. The story has indeed moved forward again, I have obtained significant information about both refugees, and in addition, the creators have given me the opportunity to have a good time while paying Vincent. The environment of New Zealand was certainly an excellent choice. 5* ()

Episode 6 (2017) (S02E06)

anglais The finale of the second season disappointed me quite a bit. There were far too many incomprehensible moments for my taste, which greatly spoiled the overall impression for me. Moreover, there was also an unpleasantly pathetic dialogue, and I really dislike that. On the other hand, I was extremely amused by the over-motivated detective Dixon, her desire to have a human head hanging above the fireplace was great :-) ()

Season 3 (2018) (S03)

anglais In Season 3, the plot moves back to Australia to my delight. Plus, it turns out that the creators haven’t used up all of their ideas in the first two seasons. The story unfolds at a decent pace, it doesn’t lack action or suspense, humor isn’t in short supply, so I'm really satisfied. ()

Lock Up (2018) (S03E01)

anglais The plot of the third season seems to me a bit far-fetched after the first episode, but nevertheless, I enjoyed it quite well and it pleased me that I could meet both main heroines again. I was quite surprised that prisoners would escape so easily in Australia of all places. Considering their experiences in the field... ()

Drive (2018) (S03E02)

anglais Creators delivered their standard performance in the second episode, so I had a good time as usual. I found humor, action, and a bit of tension, but some scenes felt too naive, which prevented me from giving a higher rating. However, I expected the third season to be a disaster, but for now, there is no such threat. ()

Snakeskin (2018) (S03E03)

anglais Although the events at the Tareela mine somewhat dampened my enthusiasm, it was still worth five pieces. The third episode was funny even in crisis situations, the plot maintained a decent dynamic throughout, only the trip to the bush could have been longer. The first one really succeeded for the creators. ()

Stuck (2018) (S03E04)

anglais I had a great time during the fourth episode. The creators allowed the story to have more freedom, so it could pick up a decent pace. At times, I had the impression that they struggled to keep it within bounds. Nevertheless, they succeeded, and I got my portion of action, tension, and humor. ()
