David's storyline held me back from giving a higher rating. His perpetual pained expression makes it seem like he's been through the wringer, whether it's a rough childhood, a gunshot wound, or a gambling addiction. Whatever it is, it slowed down the story's momentum and left me wishing for someone to put him out of his misery. 4*-
