Wanted (2016)

anglais The Australians prepared a nice surprise for me again. I didn't have high expectations of the series, and it is basically just an undemanding, relaxing watch, but it also had a kind of depth to it. The story is quite simple, but thanks to the script and performances of both lead actresses, it wasn’t so much a crime drama as a story of true friendship. I'm going to miss Lola Catherine and Chelsea Bridget, I've gotten quite used to them over those eighteen episodes. ()

Season 1 (2016) (S01)

anglais After the first season, I'm very happy with the series. It’s not exactly aimed at a demanding audience. The fact that drama is listed as the only genre is a little misleading. There’s a bit of drama, a bit of action, a bit of crime, but, most importantly, the authors didn’t forget about humor. Both main characters are well written, they were well cast, and I really enjoyed Thelma & Louise Australian style. ()

Chelsea et Lola (2016) (S01E01)

anglais What an excellent kickoff to the show. The storyline clicked perfectly, and it looks like the main heroines' characters will play off each other brilliantly (or clash, as the case may be). Sure, there were some typical plot hiccups we've come to expect (seriously, who knocks out a guy but doesn't take away his gun?), but it didn't dampen my enjoyment one bit. ()

Cours, Lola, cours ! (2016) (S01E02)

anglais The plot felt a bit weaker compared to the action-packed opener, but it still hit the spot for me. The dynamic between the main heroines is where it's at, with their banter keeping things lively. The pro runaways and Rain Woman had me chuckling throughout. 4*- ()

Eux et nous (2016) (S01E03)

anglais I could easily see a journey like this falling flat in another show, but not here. There's just something about these two characters that keeps me hooked. Their banter, laced with humor, always gets me laughing. And I'm glad to see that each episode contributes to the bigger picture of the story. ()

Retour aux sources (2016) (S01E04)

anglais Despite the WTF moment of the prison visit, I couldn't resist giving this episode a full five stars. The charming Delaney family and Boke's new car more than made up for it. Plus, I loved that the humor was still on point! ()

Détour (2016) (S01E05)

anglais When it comes to shows like this, my main expectation is to have fun. Sure, I appreciate artistic elements and the efforts of the crew, but what really grabs my attention is the thrill factor. Luckily, this episode delivered just that. Plus, I learned something new – did you know Australians participate in the Barooma Rally? That alone made it a fun ride for me! ()

Sans issue (2016) (S01E06)

anglais I was tempted to give the finale five stars, but there were just a tad too many moments that felt a bit naive for my taste. Still, I was pretty satisfied overall. The plot was entertaining, and things moved along at a decent pace, so it wasn't half bad. ()

Season 2 (2017) (S02)

anglais I don’t rate the second season as high as the first one. I wasn’t very impressed by the opening and final episode, I didn’t like the overcrowded Thailand as much as the Australian bush in which you need to pack camping gear and three days’ worth of food before visiting the nearest neighbor. My impression was significantly improved by New Zealand, but the story didn’t go as smoothly as in the previous season. I'm looking forward to the third season anyway, just because I'm curious to see how the authors will pick up where they left off in the final episode. ()

Episode 1 (2017) (S02E01)

anglais I was a tad disappointed. Maybe it's the shift to Thailand — I was more partial to the Australian backdrop. Action-packed? Sure, but there were moments that felt a bit too naive for my liking. And that sniper who couldn't shoot? Well, it left me scratching my head. ()

Episode 2 (2017) (S02E02)

anglais New Zealand feels like a breath of fresh air compared to the crowded scenes in Thailand. While there were fewer action-packed moments, the humor made a comeback (that customs scene was a riot), and it seemed like the story got a new burst of energy. ()

Episode 3 (2017) (S02E03)

anglais The third episode brought together the best of the previous two. The setting was fantastic, with plenty of action and humor to boot. It gave me that same thrill I felt during the first season. A solid blend of everything that makes the show great. ()

Episode 4 (2017) (S02E04)

anglais David's storyline held me back from giving a higher rating. His perpetual pained expression makes it seem like he's been through the wringer, whether it's a rough childhood, a gunshot wound, or a gambling addiction. Whatever it is, it slowed down the story's momentum and left me wishing for someone to put him out of his misery. 4*- ()

Episode 5 (2017) (S02E05)

anglais The plot has definitely picked up pace, providing me with substantial insights into the stories of both runaways. Plus, the creators managed to inject some fun into the mix, especially during Vincent's payout. The setting in New Zealand was a brilliant choice, adding to the overall appeal. 5*- ()

Episode 6 (2017) (S02E06)

anglais The finale left me feeling quite disappointed. There were just too many moments that didn't quite make sense. Plus, I could have done without that melodramatic dialogue. However, I have to admit, Detective Dixon's over-enthusiasm, especially her desire to have a human head hanging above the fireplace, provided some much-needed amusement. ()

Season 3 (2018) (S03)

anglais In Season 3, the plot moves back to Australia to my delight. Plus, it turns out that the creators haven’t used up all of their ideas in the first two seasons. The story unfolds at a decent pace, it doesn’t lack action or suspense, humor isn’t in short supply, so I'm really satisfied. ()

Lock Up (2018) (S03E01)

anglais The plot is starting to feel like a bit of a stretch, but I still had a good time, especially getting to see both the main heroines again. It was surprising to see prisoners escape so easily in Australia of all places. After all the experience, you'd think it wouldn't be that simple. ()

Drive (2018) (S03E02)

anglais I had a blast as always. There was humor, action, and just a touch of tension, but I couldn't shake the feeling that some scenes were a tad too naive for my taste. ()

Snakeskin (2018) (S03E03)

anglais Despite the events at the Tareela mine, this episode still earns a solid five stars from me. It managed to weave humor into even the most crisis-laden situations, keeping the plot engaging and dynamic throughout. My only gripe? I wish the bush trip had been a bit longer. The creators really nailed the first one. ()

Stuck (2018) (S03E04)

anglais This one was a blast. It felt like the creators loosened the reins a bit, letting the story find its own rhythm, which was a good move. There were moments where it seemed like they were wrestling to rein it in, but they managed to strike a balance, delivering plenty of action, tension, and humor. Overall, a solid watch! ()
