The film is about the hunt for the highly valued "caterpillar fungus", cordyceps sinensis, in the highlands of Tibet, which the artist also sees as a metaphor for the life of the Tibetan people: "The destiny of the Yartsa Günbu and the Tibetan people are alike." (Festival tibetských filmů)
