La Tempête

La tempesta is part of a gesamtkunstwerk that works splendidly on its own. It was done as an interlude for Carles Santos' scenic musical homage to Gioachino Rossini: an ode to water and iron as well as to the human body in all its frailness; Portabella made it into a study in rhythm and beauty, a cinematographic symphony slightly in a minor key.
