The Black Square

A romantic film by a Japanese director, shot entirely in Chinese. From Japan and China cast and crew members came together to make this collaborative endeavour a reality. Shot on location in various Beijing neighbourhoods, The Black Square portrays the different faces of the city. It stars Hideo Nakaizumi, who is gaining increasing recognition from the Japanese and lately Chinese film industry. (Tokyo International Film Festival)
