Because he felt that the existing parties did not pay enough attention to the war in former Yugoslavia, French philosopher and writer Bernard-Henri Lévy established his own party for the European parliament. A short time before the elections the initiative went down in arguing and confusion. Last year, Lévy caused quite a stir with the documentary Un jour dans la mort de Sarajevo. Lévy's involvement in the war is controversial. He calls Bosna! a 'combat film', standing side by side with the heroic people of Bosnia-Hercegovina who defend their country, who would rather perish than live on their knees. Strong language in a complicated conflict. Will Europe die in Sarajevo? Lévy retorically wonders. His film is intended to help prevent the catastrophe.
