(Gaumont)

anglais How is it that the French, being an unbearable nation in real life, can create so many emotional pieces that are just worth watching and make you want to relive the story along with the actors. A Bay of Marbles is another of these exemplary World War II dramas written by the war itself. With the story so powerful it is hard to believe it actually happened. But it did, and I unsuccessfully tried to manage to hold my emotions together for the whole 110 minutes. A powerful story, beautiful French small-town scenery, interesting and exciting plot. If it had me engaged through the whole movie, I’d give it the 5th star. Nonetheless it is a movie you do not want to miss. ()
