Shoes, sofas, jackets, purses,... since it's been trendy for a few years, leather has become more accessible. Its prices are getting increasingly affordable for an obvious reason: in order to circumvent European regulation, manufacturers relocated their production in countries where the workforce is low-cost. Child labour, massive chemical pollution, mortality rate multiplied by 300, professional diseases affecting 90% of the workforce: some Indian and Bangladeshi cities pay the price for working for one of the most toxic industry on the planet.
