En Grèce, aujourd’hui: alors que le nombre des réfugiés échoués ne cesse d’augmenter et qu’il y a de moins en moins de travail, à Athènes, c’est la saison des amours : 1. Daphne, étudiante, s’éprend du Syrien Farris, et doit à tout prix le cacher à son fasciste de père. 2. Giorgos, responsable de service et homme marié, entame une liaison avec Elise, la chef du personnel suédoise – sans se douter que son nom figure sur la liste du personnel à rayer de cette dernière. 3. Maria, femme au foyer, et Sebastian, historien allemand, se rencontrent dans un supermarché. Ils ont beau à peine se comprendre, ils parlent la même langue. (Zurich Film Festival)

This is probably the best Greek film I have seen so far. It very nicely combines the situation in Greece after the financial crisis with the enless lines of migrants who are heading from the Near East to Europe. I enjoyed the three stories – they intertwined in the movie very nicely. Even the actors themselves were great. I was really surprised by the director who also took an acting part in the movie and who put in an absolutely excellent performance. I was also surprised that he managed to talk J. K. Simmons into acting in his project – in the past few years, he has been experiencing a great acting renaissance and wherever I see him, I really admire him. If you wish to see Greece’s answer to what it thinks about the crisis or about Syria, just watch this film.
