It's not a great film, it has a lot of weaknesses of its own, but when I look at this and other similar B-movie dramas, I simply have a feeling that the creators tried and wanted to give it at least a little something. The characters are not bad, their motivations are quite believable, and I was able to identify with them. So, this is fine, I didn't even expect it.
