Vorrei morir

The heroine of the film rides a horse with her private tutor and falls of the horse. The story restarts after her fatal accident since Fate enters to show the grieving father the life awaiting his daughter had she not died. The leading role is again seen on a horse, but she does not fall this time and thus the viewer may see what would have happened. Thus begins the story of debauchery of Maja, the spoiled, moping gentle-girl grown up without a mother and unable to resist temptations. She descends more and more, eventually ends up in pubs and joints in a drunken haze in the arms of Apaches, in the company of whom she even robs her own father. The broken-hearted old man resigns himself to the death of his daughter upon seeing her going to the dogs. A sudden dissolve and Maja again lies on the catafalque and the father praising destiny for that. (texte officiel du distributeur)
