MR. ROBOT follows Elliot (Rami Malek), a young programmer who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and as a vigilante hacker by night. Elliot finds himself at a crossroads when the mysterious leader (Christian Slater) of an underground hacker group recruits him to destroy the firm he is paid to protect. Compelled by his personal beliefs, Elliot struggles to resist the chance to take down the multinational CEOs he believes are running (and ruining) the world. (National Broadcasting Company (NBC))

Mr. Robot (2015)

anglais Elation. For the time being. Paranoia. Antisocial parallels with Dexter in the becoming environment of the web. Great acting, at last Rami Malek got the leading role and handles it with ease. Slater is fine too. Hope it maintains the quality... The unreliable narrator is back and, to make it worse, in an incredibly rotten and diverse world full of unstable people and fraudsters with power - or so it seems... maybe, probably. Often found it hard to keep up (putting on Mr. Robot at bedtime is a very bad idea) - there’s a whole bunch of twists. ()

Eps3.1_undo.gz (2017) (S03E02)

anglais Since the very beginning of the series, Mr. Robot has been losing his dark aura, but mentally he’s still on a very high level. The game has changed, but Esmail clearly knows what he’s doing. He’s still able to surprise. The humor is still as dark as Malek’s sweatshirt. ()

Eps3.4_runtime-error.r00 (2017) (S03E05)

anglais Best episode yet? A chillingly suspenseful rollercoaster ride. Important revelations framed in by an exquisite, single-shot approach, that takes place in Leon’s den. This is what democracy looks like! ()

Eps3.5_kill-process.inc (2017) (S03E06)

anglais This series keeps improving. A nerve-wracking finale with some fantastic twists and a breathtaking ending. The game is likely to change again, and the cliffhanger to the next episode is brilliant. ()

Season 4 (2019) (S04)

anglais Clever and compact. The last season took Mr. Robot to the finish line, but not without the greatest of sacrifices. With precision camerawork, Esmail presents a psychological deconstruction of Eliot Alderson and, despite frequent pop-culture references, also manages to be unbelievably original. Masterful plot twists and tricks played on the viewer. The most powerful aspect is the dialogue about humaneness and the end of all that is good inside us. The closing two-part episode that negates everything that has been presented so far is a surprise. A story about hearing voices. ()

401 Unauthorized (2019) (S04E01)

anglais Several heart-stopping moments, camera tricks and a story that has the viewers hanging like puppets on a string, and the puppet master keeps on jerking them. The last season begins with the bar set high. Goodbye, friend. ()

403 Forbidden (2019) (S04E03)

anglais The conclusion of the Chinese LGBT romantic storyline is one of the most powerful experiences from a series this year, which is saying something. Mr. Robot reveals his friendly side and what he says begins to indicate how things could end, if anything like a happy ending is still possible at all. The ending with Tyler stretches tense anticipation to the maximum. ()

404 Not Found (2019) (S04E04)

anglais The Twin Peaks episode, or Everybody should spend Christmas with their nearest and dearest. A de-populated world (everybody is eating their Christmas dinner), suicidal thoughts. Bad luck and terrifying howling have the main roles here. A series about hackers that takes place in the middle of a snowy forest? Why not? ()

407 Proxy Authentication Required (2019) (S04E07)

anglais An episode of a series conceived as a play with five acts with a stoned dealer, a psychologically unstable hacker, his imaginary father and a psychiatrist who is playing for her dear life. All of the characters go through incredible development and you end up understanding Vera in the finale... and that is the scariest thing about this. ()

whoami (2019) (S04E12)

anglais Esmail raised the bar even higher before the end. At its core, Mr. Robot remains an intimate social drama, but what happens to the world around it adds an even more devastating depth. Now is just about tapping the ball into the hole. ()

Hello, Elliot (2019) (S04E13)

anglais A smart ending; strong, sad, but also full of hope, and perfectly shot. One of the best TV projects I’ve ever seen. ()
