Bagodi Gábor, the Hussar Captain once famous for his revelry, now lives lonely. His wife left with his young daughter twenty years ago because of a several days long revelry. The former regiment of Bagodi arrives to hold summer exercises in the neighbourhood. The officers - among them Lieutenant Kövess Péter - are put up in the castle. Following the persuasion of his former comrade, Bagodi visits Pest. On the party of the Horse-riders Club he makes the acquaintance of the young Baroness Lichtenstein Éva. He does not guess, that she is his own daughter. Éva falls in love with Kövess. On the horse race she has a purler at one of the obstacles. She learns in the hospital that Bagodi is her father. She decides to bring her parents together. (texte officiel du distributeur)
