Sales of printed newspapers are steadily declining. Publishing houses all around the world must cope with lower profits. Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet, with its more than 100-year tradition, is no exception. In 10 years its sales have halved. To reverse this trend, the editors publish stories on the edge of journalistic ethics. This powerful film reveals the daily work of newspaper editors and shows the vain efforts of news executives to avert the end of the "paper era". As the editor-in-chief of Ekstra Bladet says: "If only someone had solved this challenge – of making a paper edition that more people wanted to read – we would copy their strategy. But no one has."
