The historically strategic territory of Kashmir, which sits at the crossroads of several cultures, has been in a tug of war between India and Pakistan since 1947. In today's political and religious context the nature of the conflict is no longer clear and almost no one even remembers how it even started. The film follows young Kashmiri caricaturist Malik Sajad as well as several other local artists who have not stopped depicting this conflict in their work. The filmmaker combines documentary footage from one of the most militarised zones in the world with breath-taking shots of the natural scenery and animations by the artists, who explore themes of national identity in a country driven by war.
