Strong performances that are perfectly suited for the theater and should have stayed there. The film medium adds absolutely nothing to this story, which is a great pity. Ian McKellen and Anthony Hopkins, as well as Emily Watson, would be great on stage and you would have a much better feeling from them because you would be closer to them. This way, they are good acting performances, but they are simply not enough.
