Vincent Price stars as evil Prince Prospero who sells his soul to the devil and then enjoys the latter's patronage by living the most decadent and lavish lifestyle he can manage. The Prince decides to hold a masked ball; a night of particular debauchery and indulgence is set as he invites several dozen of the local nobility to his castle for protection against an oncoming plague, The Red Death. When a hooded stranger arrives dressed all in red, the Prince assumes him to be his master, Satan, and is determined to seek him out... Based on the short stories of Edgar Allan Poe. (StudioCanal UK)
