Jonas Mekas - José Luis Guerin: Carta 8. A Letter to José Luis #4

Mekas' last reaction is delayed because the director was filming Sleepless Nights Stories. At the end he expresses hope, however, that someday somewhere he'll meet up with José Luis. In addition to the "balance" aspect, investigating one's own sources of inspiration, the end of this film letter off ers some interesting things – it captures Jim Jarmusch, Monte Hellman and Peter Bogdanovich as they leave the Anthology Film Archives after a celebration of the 40th anniversary of its founding. Jarmusch was the second director on the waiting list that Luis Guerin presented to the Barcelona centre. The circle has symbolically closed. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
