Fernando Eimbcke - So Yong Kim: Carta 4

So Yong Kim wants to answer in a similar manner, and so her letter is filled with an echo of Eimbcke's memories of his father. Here it is the filmmaker's husband who recalls his childhood in Florida, his siblings and his parents. Footage of his father's hands is mixed with images borrowed from amateur movies. Th e memories captured on photographs are just as urgent as those on film or recounted in person. Here, it is her husband Bradley Rust Gray's recollections of his father.
