Alice, 30 ans, est marin. Elle laisse Félix, son homme, sur la terre ferme, et embarque comme mécanicienne sur un vieux cargo, le Fidelio. A bord, elle apprend qu'elle est là pour remplacer un homme qui vient de mourir et découvre que Gaël, son premier grand amour, commande le navire. Dans sa cabine, Alice trouve un carnet ayant appartenu à son prédécesseur. La lecture de ses notes, entre problèmes mécaniques, conquêtes sexuelles et mélancolie amoureuse, résonne curieusement avec sa traversée. Au gré des escales, au milieu d'un équipage exclusivement masculin, bercée par ses amours qui tanguent, Alice s'expose au bonheur de tout vivre à la fois et tente de maintenir le cap... A lone woman on a stormy sea holding onto the mast of a catamaran fishing boat. I’m not sure about you, but I was personally surprised that there wasn’t some sort of a narrator explaining that Alice is a nymphomaniac and she ventures onto the open sea to let water dogs nail her. The things that followed weren’t surprising at all and to be honest, I was mostly bored during the whole movie. Nothing that important was going on, there was nothing unexpected and the only good thing about it were the locations outside the fishing boat on which the movie took place most of the running time.
