Inspired by the esoteric aspects of the Karelian-Finnish epos "Kalevala", professor Chistyakov decides to change the world for the best. He devotes to this plan all his life in waiting for the Golden age. But when he agreed with the necessity and inevitability of human sacrifices he becomes an instrument of chaos and destruction.
