Filmoteka Narodowa (the Polish equivalent of the NFA), under the direction of Tadeusz Kowalski, restored the German film Mania starring Pola Negri. They went at it with such vigor that today we have a new soundtrack for the film, it's screened extensively in retro shows and has also been released on BR. That's not too bad for a Polish film.
