Gombby's Green Island – home to Gombby, Strawy, Celeste, a very sleepy little boy called .... Sleepy...... and all their friends!
Wheatfields, woods and watermelons are the backdrop to their adventures and discoveries all over the island and Gombby, the little baker boy, loves to take the lead in those adventures! Sandcastle mysteries, the Green Island Gymkhana, finding the rainbow's end – just some of the stories he and his friends live through as they learn about nature, the power of nature and themselves. Do, Re, Mi and Fa - four fabulously coloured birds - regularly accompany them on their adventures and Gadget Man never ceases to be their favourite inventor, inventing curiosities such as giant soap bubble making machines, watering systems to keep Green Island green and space rockets to take enthralled little boys to the moon!
