Ichiko lives in a tiny village in northeastern Japan. She moved out to the city once, but felt lost there and returned. With no supermarkets or convenience stores nearby, living in the village is like living off the land. She grows her own rice, works the farm, and makes meals out of seasonal foods gathered from the neighboring mountains and fields. In the stillness of time, Ichiko rediscovers herself and recharges by eating delicious, natural foods to move forward. (Shochiku)

anglais I liked the second installment more than the first, probably because of what Jirka complains about a bit – more people, more "business". I found it perfectly adequate. We were still cooking, we were still working, we were still lost in beautiful pictures, we still didn't know what we wanted. The ending clearly cut it open, and I was satisfied with the farewell dance. A nice 4 stars. ()
