Vivid images of a microworld, whose equivalents surround each of us, are appealing in themselves; in this film they coalesce around the motif of "the end." Rousing the senses, the movie touches on the nature and transience of diverse objects, which here take on various forms. In the eyes of the filmmaker, "the end" is a semantic construction that we name and, in the present, attach to something that has already in fact ended. In his precisely constructed film, he achieves unobtrusive yet exceptionally powerful images that lodge themselves in the mind. (Karlovy Vary International Film Festival)
