Tar

Humanity is, for the most part, still dependent on non-renewable energy sources. However, these resources are fi nite. It might seem as if the preservation of our environment and the search for alternative energy sources would be a priority in this day and age. But the behaviour of the Canadian government does not follow this view. The tar sands which cover a large portion of the province of Alberta are one possible source of oil. However, obtaining it is a tortuous journey with devastated nature and huge amounts of waste products as the result. (Academia Film Olomouc)
