The director, together with an actor, a real nephew of Jamie Guzman, stage parts of a play, which they created two years ago, for the film. Reality thus blends with the theatre performance and the film to create a new, complex piece of art. The painful history, which still affects Chilean society, is reflected in a documentary style, which contrasts with emotionally tense passages of the play. A major part of the film is dedicated to the creation and production of the play itself. Historical facts and more general topics thus remain slightly inaccessible to an uninformed viewer.
