In 2012, the Spanish government announced that as part of austerity measures it will reduce its support of the mining industry by almost two thirds. In response, 8,000 miners go on strike. This short and poignant film records the protest march of more than 240 miners who make the 20-day, 400-kilometre trek from Asturias to Madrid. In the capital, they are welcomed by thousands of supporters who join their protest. (One World)
