Episode XXXI (2017) (S04E03)

anglais It looked like I would rate the episode with five stars for a while, but then the pirates started doing unprecedented things. I somehow didn't understand the result of the naval clash, it would be like if a tank attacked an armed person with a pistol and lost. Similarly, I was "enthusiastic" about the musket firing at the end of the episode, it just didn't make sense. What a shame. ()

Episode XXXIII (2017) (S04E05)

anglais It was essentially a very similar case to the previous episode, planning and intrigue once again took center stage, the action remained in the background, but that doesn't bother me at all if all those debates have significance for the story. I think it's better to have an episode where there is only intrigue than an episode that brings action full of nonsense. ()

Episode XXXIV (2017) (S04E06)

anglais If the sixth episode wasn't the best of the whole series, then it definitely ranks among the top three. It was an excellent episode in which the creators managed to mix intrigues, negotiations, and meaningful action superbly. Moreover, they once again showed that they do not hesitate to occasionally sacrifice some main character for the sake of the story. The only problem I had was with the number of horses that the Spaniards managed to transport to the island, but oh well, I enjoyed it. ()

Episode XXXV (2017) (S04E07)

anglais There was a significant decline compared to the previous episode. Maybe it would work better for me if I wasn't such a cynic, but under these circumstances, there was too much mourning and an attempt to play on emotions. Originally, I was considering three stars, but in the end, thanks to bold plans and Calico Jack's Philadelphia mission, I decided on 4*-. ()

Episode XXXVI (2017) (S04E08)

anglais The eighth episode was one of the more tedious ones, almost nothing happened. Fortunately, an excessive amount of intrigues and tricks saved the situation, and slowly, Treasure Island was also introduced into the plot, so it is clear how it will end with the chest. I just don't know yet how it will happen. ()

Episode XXXVII (2017) (S04E09)

anglais Although the episode was full of action, something bothered me about it, and I am not even able to figure out what it was. It was like listening to a classical music concert, where one of the musicians occasionally plays a wrong note, and I still don't know which one it was. ()

Episode XXXVIII (2017) (S04E10)

anglais WtF??!! The final episode received two stars from me only out of nostalgia because I enjoyed this series, but this? I didn't expect the pirates to win, and if they had, I would have been really mad because I have a sense of reality. But why did the creators turn the last episode into overly-sweetened and pathetic horror? I don't understand. I know what's popular today, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Just like I wouldn't accept the idea of a black person playing a Norse god, I won't accept a conclusion that involves a happy meeting of two gays on a plantation. I think back then it would have at least earned them shared accommodation under the nearest row of corn, or whatever they were growing there. ()
