Kapoor & Sons delves into the lives of a dysfunctional family that can easily pass off for a happy household. However, behind doors they are bogged down by strained relationships, secrets, emotional breakdowns and much more. Two estranged brothers Rahul and Arjun receive a call about their grandfather s heart attack forcing them to return to their house. Looking forward to a happy reunion, the brothers find themselves in the midst of family problems, ego-ridden issues, secrets and a love interest that pushes them further apart, thus giving us one helluva ride of entertainment. One of those Indian films that manages to suppress humorous and musical numbers in favor of a story based on the portrayal of one family, which seems quite normal at first glance, but after just a few minutes with them you realize that these problems are deeply rooted and are destroying their lives. Still, it has quite a nice message in it.
