(Zelig Films Distribution)

anglais Without Robin Williams' acting performance, who once again proved that dramatic roles were his own, this film wouldn't be worth mentioning. This is a very poorly written script, where in the end, you should feel a connection with the main character, but it simply doesn't work. There is nothing good or right in his decisions that would justify his happiness in the end. ()

anglais Boulevard has a pretty good premise and features a great cast with Robin Williams and Kathy Baker, but I can't shake the pervasive feeling of emotional emptiness that washed over me throughout the film. The main character discovers the recesses of his sexuality late in life, struggles with a long-standing marital crisis, deals with problems at work and visits his slowly dying father in hospital - it sounds very appealing on paper, but the whole thing feels too superficial, even boring at times, which really sucks as there was a lot of potential. The most impressive scene was the final confrontation between Nolan and his wife, the rest was rather bland. ()
