The fact that Cinemax runs a cartoon movie for adults is indication enough that Cheatin’ is not an ordinary movie. And right I was. I can’t say I was jumping with joy after I watched the film. Nevertheless, I must say that the way the cartoon was drawn was quite hypnotic. For instance, the scene at the racetrack sure had its charm. It would have been a lot more charming if it was a short movie and not part of an entire film. Watching these strange surreal images for 80 minutes took tons of patience. And that incredible loud score didn’t help things either. ()
