I must say that I was really curious about Cheatin’. The fact that Cinemax runs a cartoon movie for adults is indication enough that Cheatin’ is not an ordinary movie. And right I was. I can’t say I was jumping with joy after I watched the film. Nevertheless, I must say that the way the cartoon was drawn was quite hypnotic. For instance, the scene at the racetrack sure had its charm. It would have been a lot more charming if it was a short movie and not part of an entire film. Watching these strange surreal images for 80 minutes took tons of patience. And that incredible loud score didn’t help things either.
