The film, commissioned by the independent newspaper Novaja Gazeta, shows new paths in Russian documentary film scene. It is a collective work. Last winter, ten students spent two months in the icy streets of Moscow and Saint Petersburg filming movements between the opposition group against Vladimir Putin and their counterparty. Concerns about corruption and transparency of the upcoming presidential elections caused protests. The cameras move in the meetings and "putings", in the streets and behind the scenes, from Pussy Riot's performance to polling places. The scenes are intertwined together forming an unforgettable panorama. Black humour flourishes only to be replaced with terror when the police starts to provoke and strike. The winter goes on in Russia, there became no thaw.
