El país del miedo

Carlos, Sara and Pablo, their preteen son, live a peaceful middle-class life until Sara begins to notice things disappearing in the house. She blames the Moroccan maid and eventually fires her. But the stealing doesn't stop; it's Pablo who's the culprit. Fearful Carlos decides to follow Pablo to school where he discovers that a 13-year-old girl, Marta, is the instigator. She is bullying and blackmailing Pablo. But resolving the affair isn't that easy. At least not for Carlos, for whom any extraordinary situation is stressful. Dealing with this youthful extorionist becomes a descent into hell. (Montreal World Film Festival)
