Dans les années 30, en Angleterre. Le rédacteur en chef du magazine «Musical Express» devient le manager du Louis Lester Band. Ce groupe de jazz, composé exclusivement de musiciens de couleur, réussit l'exploit de s'imposer dans l'aristocratie britannique.
