Since 1967 Israeli intelligence has worked together with Palestinian collaborators. One of them is Ibrahim ElAkel. When his brother is murdered by Hamas, Ibrahim and his family leave Hebron in search of a better future in Tel Aviv but without residence permits it seems impossible for them to lead a normal life. The three sons are regularly picked up by the police and are increasingly slipping out of their father’s grasp. There is a seemingly endless wait for the papers they have been promised and, meanwhile, an Israeli agent is already out knocking on doors trying to sign up the next collaborator. An exciting account of the evolution of a family without an official right to exist. (DOK.fest München)
