In Havana, 1994, Rosa Elena -assistant nurse and care-taker of her sick father unpleased with her life, goes back to singing at a men choir where she worked before meeting her husband, a chief engineer of a Construction Brigade. As a secret from her past is revealed, both are exposed to the structural violence of the hegemonic, male- dominated and patriarchal structure in which they live.
