Bloody Boys

Three families and three parallel stories - stories of downward spirals whose patterns drag individuals as well as their families into them. Birgitta moves in with yet another man, leaving her son, Simon, without a place to stay - his dad having given up on the living and who now keeps company with the dead. Lina wants to divorce her husband Gunnar who decides to write a book on the cruelties of love and marriage, while their son Bjorn gets an apartment on his own where he ponders his identity. And then there's Ida and Kristoffer struggling to escape a tragic heritage. Kristoffer helps his mother through her fits of rage while wishing for a less complicated life, while Ida tries all kinds of remedies for her affliction to no avail. The film depicts the human aspects of a number of brutal proceedings, where life itself may be the price of freedom. (Zlín Film Festival)
