Joe + Belle

A dark comedy about two girls who fall madly in love with each other on their journey across Israel. Joe (played by the film's director Vernica Kedar) is a frustrated, yet charismatic drug dealer. Belle is a romantic soul with suicidal tendencies, freshly out of a mental institution. Unintentionally, the girls get involved in a murder and end up with a body that they need to get rid of. Their coincidental encounter turns into a Thelma & Louise style romantic adventure, as they flee the police to hide in the most unlikely of all places – a small town of Sderot, a constant target for ongoing Qassam rocket attacks.
